Conduct On Set Policy

Purpose:  The purpose of this policy is to ensure a respectful, professional, and safe environment on set for all cast and crew members. This policy outlines the expectations for proper conduct for background actors and the consequences of not adhering to these standards.

Scope: This policy applies to all background actors engaged through our platform for any production.

Policy:

1. Professional Conduct:

  • Punctuality: Arrive on set at the time specified in your call sheet. Late arrivals disrupt the production schedule.
  • Respect: Treat all cast, crew, and fellow background actors with respect and professionalism. Disrespectful behaviour, including yelling, arguing, or causing disturbances, will not be tolerated.

2. No Photography or Recording:

  • Prohibition on Photography and Recording: No photography, video recording, or audio recording is allowed on set. This includes taking pictures or videos with your mobile phone.
  • Confidentiality: Background actors must respect the confidentiality of the production. Sharing any details about the production, including on social media, is strictly prohibited.

3. Harassment and Discrimination:

  • Zero Tolerance: We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, racism, bigotry, and any form of discrimination. This includes but is not limited to verbal, physical, and sexual harassment.
  • Reporting: Any incidents of harassment or discrimination must be reported immediately to the on-set coordinator, wrangler, or production supervisor (is this correct)

4. Consequences of Misconduct:

  • Immediate Expulsion: Any background actor found violating this policy may be immediately expelled from the set.
  • Unions (If applicable): Any background actor found violating this policy and is part of ACTRA, or UDA the union will be notified of the misconduct.
  • Database Removal: Serious violations, particularly harassment or discrimination, will result in the immediate removal of the actor from our database.
  • No Refunds: In cases of expulsion or removal due to misconduct, the actor will not be entitled to any refunds or compensation.

5. Additional Conduct Guidelines:

  • Follow Directions: Adhere to all directions given by the director, assistant director, or any production staff.
  • Dress Code: Follow the specified dress code or costume requirements provided in your call sheet.
  • No Drugs or Alcohol: The use of drugs or alcohol before or during your time on set is strictly prohibited.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the set clean and dispose of any trash properly. Respect the facilities and locations used for the production.
  • Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols. Report any unsafe conditions or accidents immediately to the production staff.

Acknowledgment: By participating in any production through our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this policy. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action as outlined above.
